Wisdom of the Ages
The wisdom of ages lives in stories. Sometimes that wisdom is accidental; an unwitting imprint of the author’s worldview onto the text. Other times, that wisdom is intentional reflection, spoken and lived by an author’s characters.
We can learn from all kinds of stories, whether we’re reading Robert Ludlum’s “The Bourne Identity," or John Milton’s, “Paradise Lost.” I look forward to your comments and suggestions, as well as your ideas for novels we can mine for our benefit. I hope you enjoy reading this thread as much as I will enjoy writing it.
